Waterbeach Southern Gardens

Bespoke and innovative housing reflective of design code

We are excited to collaborate with Urban & Civic on a key part of their transformative masterplan for Waterbeach Barracks. Tasked with designing approximately 90 new homes across three unique parcels of land—surrounded by public open spaces and a primary school—the development will be marketed as a Build-to-Rent scheme.

Our proposed masterplan responds to the site's high-quality design code, incorporating Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) in partnership with WELink. We worked closely with U&C and WELink to ensure we were designing a scheme that is both worthy of the Cambridgeshire design and a viable scheme from the outset. This forward-thinking approach highlights our commitment to delivering sustainable, innovative housing solutions for the future.

“Working with 24/Three has been an enjoyable experience. Their deep knowledge of Cambridgeshire's architectural design reflects a deep understanding of local aesthetics and planning requirements. The team's ability to navigate the complex and often onerous design guidelines with a systematic and well-thought-out approach was central to us instructing them in the first place. From start to finish, they demonstrated expertise, creativity, and attention to detail, delivering a scheme which matched our high expectations. I would recommend 24/Three for anyone looking to create a project that not only complies with but enhances the unique character of Cambridgeshire.”
